intended for classroom use. back to list Why am I unable to print or save my sketch? If
you have not yet purchased a license, you will be working in Preview
mode, which means you are unable to save or print sketches. To enable
printing and saving, you must first purchase a Sketchpad license. back to list How do I register my Sketchpad license? When you launch your Sketchpad
software, you will be asked whether you want to run in Preview mode,
Purchase or Register. Click the radio button to “Register a license on
this computer,” and enter the License Name and Authorization Code that
was provided to you. Include all characters and spaces exactly as
shown. Then click the Register button. back to list Is a Sketchpad 5 School/Institution license a non-concurrent or a concurrent software license and what's the difference??A Sketchpad 5 School/Institution license is a non-concurrent software license. With a non-concurrent software license, each computer registered with Sketchpad
5 “counts against” the number of computers associated with the license
you purchased (e.g. if you purchase a 500-Computer School/Institution
license and register on 200 computers, you have 300 computer
registrations remaining). Whereas a concurrent license model is based
upon the number of users accessing the program simultaneously
regardless of how many computers the program is registered. Once again,
Sketchpad 5 School/Institution licenses follow the non-concurrent software license model. With the non-concurrent software license model, we allow the flexibility for Sketchpad 5 users to deregister on a system and register on another system without violating the terms of the License Agreement (PDF).
To further support such school/institution registration and
deregistration efforts, we have drafted Network Installation guides
that include details on registering and deregistering with centralized
management applications. You can download these Network Installation Guides (.zip). back to list I am unable to register with my Sketchpad License Name and Authorization Code. What is wrong?First,

would want to deregister a license because you have reached your
three-registration limit, and you have a fourth computer that requires
a registered copy of Sketchpad.
- If you purchase a new computer, you will want to deregister Sketchpad on your old computer before registering it on your new one.
If you purchased a School/Institution License or a Multi-Student Home-Use License, there are three common reasons to do this: - Your institution bought a 1-year license and you wish to replace your current licenses with new licenses.
- You are decommissioning computers (either to replace them or sell them as surplus/salvage) and wish to ensure that Sketchpad isn’t being used in a non-compliant manner.
- Some
1:1 laptop initiatives deliver the computers to students when they
graduate minus any software that wasn’t provided as part of the
initiative. If you wish to leave Sketchpad on the laptops in
evaluation mode (and let students decide if they subsequently want to
buy their own copy), all you need to do is deregister the software to
remain compliant with your own license.

your license on a single computer, you can deregister while in an
Administrator account by selecting Help>License Information in the

Code registered on your system, and click Deregister.
- Performed a Network Installation, please reference the Network Installation FAQ.
